Coat Rack by Luigi Sormani for Sormani, Italy, 1960s

A rare Space Age coat rack designed by Luigi Sormani for Sormani in Italy during the late 1960s.

The sculptural structure is finished in black lacquer and organized around a tall central mirror. Two geometric side panels feature elongated cut-outs and polished chrome hooks with spherical details, creating a distinctive contrast against the black surface.

The substantial base incorporates two umbrella compartments, making the piece both highly functional and visually striking. Its combination of strong geometry, reflective surfaces and chrome details captures the experimental character of Italian Space Age design.
