“Bond James Bond” Lounge Chairs by Eric Sigfrid Persson (Sweden, 1906–1992)
Designed in the late 1960s–70s, this rare pair of lounge chairs, nicknamed “Bond James Bond,” reflects the era’s fascination with sleek futurism and cinematic glamour. The nickname comes from their daring, wave-like silhouette in polished aluminum and black leather which was a look that echoed the sophistication, confidence, and modern edge associated with the James Bond aesthetic of the 1960s.
The sculptural curves and channel-stitched leather upholstery convey both elegance and motion, while the lightweight aluminum frame emphasizes Scandinavian innovation. Bold yet refined, the chairs capture a cultural moment when design merged with fantasy, style, and pop-iconography.
